My work embodies what goes on around me. I am attracted to the human influence, whether it is my own emotional expression or others. My more recent work tends to focus on color and the build up and texture that I can create with paint.
The materials I am drawn to tend to be the ones that can be brought into layers. I regularly use materials such as oil paint, ink, graphite or anything that utilizes my mark making. I am particularly drawn to the experience that oil paint gives me. I enjoy using the layering that paint provides me as well as the experience of removing paint from the canvas.
